AMENITIES

THIS ISN'T JUST AMENITY. IT'S MOMENTUM.

Above and around you, floors of crafted and curated resident amenities transform the building into a vertical neighbourhood, built for focus, creativity, connection and recovery.

Thirty spaces across seven floors, built around the way people actually live and work now. Not a gym and a lounge with a brochure wrapped round them - a vertical neighbourhood, with somewhere to record a podcast, somewhere to host eight people for dinner, and somewhere to watch the sun go down over the whole of London.

Space to breathe. Space to think. Space to remember why you’re building what you’re building.

WORK AND CREATE

Ten spaces, and the reason most people choose Altura over anywhere else on the tram line.

The ordinary end, done properly. Co-working with dedicated fibre, solo workstations for heads-down days, quiet rooms for calls that can't have a flatmate in the background, and a conference room for when someone needs meeting somewhere that isn't a coffee shop.

Then the part almost no rental building has. A podcast studio. A green screen studio. A music room you can actually play in with guitar, keyboard, electric drum kit. And a switch-off studio for none of the above.

Spaces: Co-working · Quiet working · Solo workstations · Conference room · Reading room · Podcast studio · Music studio

UP AND OUTSIDE

Croydon has height that central London can't build. This is what it's for.

The sky garden sits on 49 - planted for year-round colour and containing plenty of seating options.

Then the viewing point, which on a clear day takes in the Shard, Canary Wharf, the Crystal Palace transmitter and most of what sits between them.

Spaces: Sky garden · Rooftop seating

EAT AND HOST

Studios and one-beds are brilliant, right up until eight people want dinner.

So the building does the hosting instead. Eight private dining rooms with a show kitchen attached if you'd rather cook in front of everyone than disappear for an hour to do it.

Communal cooking spaces for when it's a group effort, and cook and go stations for the nights it needs to take [eleven minutes]. Then the bar lounge on 28, looking out over London, where most evenings here seem to start.

Spaces: Bar lounge · Dining lounge · Private dining rooms · Communal cooking · Cook and go stations

PLAY

Five rooms that exist purely because a building should be somewhere you want to be.

A screening room with couches and a proper screen, yours for a film, a finale or a birthday. A big screen sports room for the fixtures that kick off at stupid o'clock. A games room with pool and table football.

And a darts alley, which is the sort of thing a building either commits to or doesn't. The sky library is the far end of the same idea: [floor-to-ceiling glass, no screens, the quietest room here].

Spaces: Screening room · Big screen sports room · Games room · Darts alley · Sky library

MOVE AND RESTORE

A gym one lift ride away is the only kind that survives a real week.

Weights, cardio, spin and yoga across over 180 square meters, open twenty-four hours on your fob, which matters when the window is 6am, or 11pm, or twenty minutes between two things.

The other half is slower. A seperate space exists with swinging chairs; somewhere to pray, meditate or simply sit down for ten minutes with nothing asked of you.

Spaces: Gym, cardio, spin, yoga · Multifaith space

EVERYDAY

Less glamorous than the roof, and used considerably more often.

Parcels go to a post room and store, so nothing ends up propped in a corridor. The launderette is on floor 1, app-connected, so you can see what's free before you carry anything downstairs. The lobby lounge works as a meeting spot or a place to unwind.

And the TULU locker: a shared kit library in the building.

Spaces: Reception and lobby lounge · Post room and parcel store · Launderette · TULU locker

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Are the amenities included in my rent?

Yes. Every resident space at Altura 50 is included in your rent - there's no membership, no monthly add-on and no charge per use.

  • Do I need to book, or can I just turn up?

Both, depending on the space. Co-working, the gym, the sky library, the lounges and the games room are open access - turn up whenever. The studios, conference room, screening room and private dining rooms are open to all by default, but can be booked for private events.

  • What are the opening hours?

    24/7, plain and simple.

  • Can I bring guests?

Yes. Up to two guests at a time, signed in at reception and accompanied while they're in the building. More than that for a booked private space.

  • Can I host a private event?

Yes, the rooftop entertainment area and both private dining rooms can be reserved for private use, for up to X people, with a £XX refundable deposit. Bookable weeks ahead through the team.

  • What is the TULU locker?

A shared kit library in the building. It means not owning - or finding space for - things you use a handful of times a year, which matters in a studio.
